Welcome to my blog about AI. My name is Maria, and I've been wearing two hats - academic and professional, working full-time and studying/researching part-time my entire adult life. Currently, I am an interdisciplinary AI scholar at Tilburg University specializing in the regulation and governance of artificial intelligence, with a particular interest in regulation by design. In addition, I am a co-founder at Emium Consulting with 17 years of experience in tech projects.

I started this blog for three major reasons: to share the developments in my research field, to help businesses make sense of a fast-spinning AI world and hopefully make the right decisions, and to finally get all my data and writing off separate platforms and under my own control.
